"When we first discovered Giammi's photos, for one aspect or another, a lot of names came to our mind - Nan Goldin, Jack Pierson, Ryan Mcginley... Yes, we know these are big comparisons, but we sensed a similar way of looking at the world that we knew from their books. And it's not that all these artists fall under the umbrella of "queer photography", it's more about tension, the uncertainty, the duality in their images. We are not sure when it's real and when it's just a fantasy. Sometimes it's an innocent glimpse, and sometimes it's erotically charged. It's soft, but hard at the same time; playful but serious; weird, but normal... It gives you goosebumps.

And Giammi doesn't seem to want to limit herself to one thing. She is simply looking, directly and with honesty. You can feel the emotional bound that she has with her subject and sense they’re sharing something. Maybe it's a secret…
